@stux⚡ Oh well, it is not just US cars. Also European-made cars are bcoming ever bigger and bigger, supposedly because it is "what the Chinese market wants". I needed a large minivan when the kids were younger and opted for a Dacia Lodgy which still ist comparitvely small given its massive inner volume. If I wanted the same inner volume today with a modern car (Dacia no longer offers this at all), the car would be outwardly so wide that it would not even fit into our driveway ...
